Lurking beneath the surface were 2 whale sharks, scooping up plankton. It was hard to gauge their actual size but Amey, our guide, said that one was a 'child' while the other was a 'teenager'. Adult females can grow up to 14m while males can grow up to 9m. It uses its large mouth to scoop up plankton and krill
