Swan Valley - Wildlife and Scenery

The beautiful Swan Valley is surrounded by the Porcupine Mountains to the west and the Duck Mountains to the south. It contains abundant wildlife and some gorgeous scenery. While some of these photos are from the Whitefish Lake area of the Porcupine Mountains, most of the scenes are from the beautiful Duck Mountains of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Wildlife

It's not unusual to see white tailed and mule deer, moose, elk, black bear, fox, coyotes, squirrels, beaver, and muskrat. There are also blue herons, bald eagles, turkey vultures, kingfishers, loons, kestrels, red-tailed hawks, humming birds, and ducks of all kinds.

Scenery

Once upon a time, I worked at the Swan River Tourist Information Center. One day, three hunters from Spain came in and said that they've hunted all around the world. They felt that the Swan Valley was the most beautiful place they've been to.

It is a very pretty place. You folks need to head east to see the beauty of the Maritimes soon and capture some of the scenic areas around here. Thank you for sharing your lovely photos!
