The Rijeka Crnojevića and Lake Skadar region of Montenegro is an area of rugged beauty, churches surrounded by above ground graves, stone houses, arched bridges, and bee hives.
During a hike, the frantic howls of hunting dogs forced a Red deer to dash across the road just behind us. The deer crossed a creek and leapt up a 3 meter bank. The deer's antlers got entangled in the branches and it struggled for a short time before it finally forced its way deep into the forest.
