We spent 3 days hiking amongst a thick, carpet of Oak, Pine and Rhododendron trees. Other than marten, horses, macaques, langurs, and some cows, we didn't see any mammals but the scenery, hikes, and birds made up for it. Unfortunately, the Rhododendron trees were at the end of their bloom. To see the entire valley and hills covered in the bright red blossoms would have been an amazing site.
One of our hikes took us through a small village, where the women smiled and waved and the men stared. One lady blew a kiss at Aidan. ;)
We stayed 3 nights at the cozy Mountain Quail Lodge! The service was great.
