Kotor Region of Montenegro


We said goodbye to beautiful Dubrovnik, took a taxi to the airport and picked up our rental car. Heading south, we crossed the border into Montenegro, land of black mountains. We were expecting mountains but they were more ruggedly beautiful than we anticipated.

Monasteries are a staple in the region.

Kotor Old City Walls. Although many tourists spend days here, we only drove through and had lunch on our way to Lake Skadar.

There were a lot of switchbacks on our way to Lake Skadar and on the way we passed this guy.
