The most amazing landscape and unfolded beneath us as we flew from Delhi to Istanbul.
From December browned valleys to snow capped mountain peaks, it's fascinating to watch the world below from 36,000 feet.
We weren't sure where we were exactly but these photos are most likely Pakistan and/or Afghanistan. (No in flight map with Indigo airlines)
At times, there were no signs of animal or plant life anywhere. Then, suddenly, a dirt road would wander through a valley and then a small city of rectangular buildings the same colour of the landscape would appear. I'm not sure what the people did for food and water or jobs. It seems like it would be a life made harsh because of the geography.
But then I think of the harshness of Canadian winters and think they may not have it so bad.
