I’m feeling better, thank goodness. 5 days of resting, being careful and no lifting or bending really helped. That and I’m doing my back exercises again. Yesterday was my best day in a week. I felt pretty good all day, though at night my back started hurting again.
Tuesday I went to a dermatologist about my wart. Yes, that thing is still there. Jackie, I tried the duct tape treatment. It made it smaller but didn’t get rid of it. She burned the sucker with liquid nitrogen – yikes! She used a thing that looked like a blow torch and had it as close to my finger as she could get it without touching it. Then she sprayed the chemical on my finger for at least 10 seconds. She also gave me a prescription to put a tincture on it every night, starting that night.
So, I went to the pharmacy and took in the prescription. I thought I’d be able to pick it up in a few hours. Nope, she said it would be ready the following day. So, in the morning? No, in the afternoon. OK, what time in the afternoon? 11:00. At night? You’ve got to be kidding me. She told me that it wouldn’t be ready until after 7:00 pm. Can you believe that a prescription would be ready that late? And be told to come get it at 11:00 pm?! Only in Latin America!
Well, I had book club last night so I thought I’d drop by and pick it up. And guess what? The pharmacy was closed!! Typical ending to a silly situation!
